Our Mission
We provide comprehensive eye care backed by the latest diagnostic and treatment technology. With a clear vision of your eye health, we aim to work closely with you to develop a custom care plan and look after your eyes for years to come.
Our Story
Royal Eye Care was established in 1948. Dr. William “Bill” Polk first practiced at the First National Bank Building before moving to Court Street in downtown Fort Smith. For 35 years, Dr. Polk served the residents of Fort Smith before Dr. Steven Yaney took over the practice in 1983.
Dr. Yaney relocated the practice to GreenPointe Shopping Center, where you can still find it today. Dr. Yaney continued the practice for another 37, caring for his patients and their eye health needs.
In 2020, Dr. Yaney decided to retire and passed along the practice to Dr. Lawrence Allen King. Dr. King chose to rename the practice Royal Eye Care. Now, he carries the legacy of the two outstanding doctors who came before him while pursuing innovative new treatments to care for his patients and their families comprehensively.

We are located in the GreenPointe Shopping Center next door to Quest Diagnostics! There is plenty of free parking available when you arrive. If you have any trouble finding us, do not hesitate to give us a call.
